Reasons to Reduce Your Plastic
Trash: The Garbage Patch - An example of pollution
is in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.
In this, there are high amounts
of plastic that have been collected into a huge pile
within the North Pacific Gyre. This area is estimated
to hold up to 100 million tons of debris: 80% of the
garbage comes from land-based sources, and 20% from
ships at sea. A
stunning video of its effects.
